How to get High Cheekbones with Dermal Fillers

You've heard about the amazing results of my 6ixLips technique for getting voluminous, natural-looking lips with dermal fillers. You've also probably heard about how dermal fillers can reshape and enhance an under-pronounced chin. But have you heard what fillers can do to sharpen and lift the appearance of your cheekbones? It's truly incredible! High cheekbones are, of course, universally considered an attractive facial feature (here's looking at you, Angelina Jolie!).

What are those striking, glass-cutting, show-stopping cheekbones actually doing? They’re really just drawing attention up to the eyes while creating the illusion of youthfulness. If your cheekbones are a bit under pronounced and you've always dreamed of a sculpted, stunning set of cheeks, you can get them without resorting to plastic surgery. Here’s how my technique as an expert injector will give your cheeks the non-surgical lift they deserve.

What are dermal fillers?

The best dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid - or at least the fillers I use are. Why do I use hyaluronic acid fillers? For starters, it's a substance that’s found naturally in your body. Hyaluronic acid is also capable of holding onto large amounts of water, which means it can do a great job at plumping up areas of your face that need a little boost and making skin look younger and brighter. Dermal fillers are used most commonly in areas like wrinkles, scars, and nasolabial folds (where smile lines form). But they've also become widely used as lip fillers to plump up the pout, and they can also be used to reshape the contours of the face - like the chin or the cheek areas.

How exactly can Dermal fillers create higher cheekbones?

This is a great question, and if you’re asking this question, it shows that you’re taking your pursuit of gorgeous cheekbones seriously! Dermal fillers are designed to build out your cheekbone contours, but also to add volume in other parts of your face, too. The result is higher cheekbones that are natural-looking, as well as a more sculpted look overall. Using fillers on your cheeks instead of going under the knife to recieve impants helps you avoid looking like you just came from the plastic surgeon’s office. Because fillers are non-invasive, they’re a subtle and relatively painless approach toward creating high cheekbones.

Cheek Fillers- a non-surgical procedure

The days of painful, invasive cheekbone-building surgeries are long gone. Now you can get a new look without going under the knife, and you won't have a big chunk of downtime after treatment. Dermal fillers are increasingly being used as a non-surgical alternative to fill sunken cheeks and create high cheekbones. It's a procedure that has been popularized by scads of celebrities, though many have yet to own up to getting injected. The best thing about dermal fillers, and why so many busy celebrities have turned to these treatments, is that there is little pain associated with treatment and recovery time is only about a week. The positive results from cheek fillers are relatively immediate but may take more than one appointment for fine-tuning. Like any area of the face, cheek fillers will be temporary and will need a touch-up appointment about every 8-12 months. The best results also come if you maintain a consistent regimen!

FAQs- Dermal Fillers for high cheekbones?

What is dermal filler treatment like?

Dermal filler treatment is a simple, quick procedure that takes around 30 minutes. It’s done in two steps, and during each step you can expect numbing cream to be applied for your comfort if requested. First, your injector will gently push down on your cheekbone to see if there are any depressions beneath them; these areas will be filled next with dermal filler. It feels like an intense pinch that lasts just a few seconds and doesn’t usually cause much bruising or swelling afterward.

What after-care should I expect for dermal fillers on cheekbones?

People who have cheekbone fillers are encouraged to apply a cold compress for a couple of days afterward to help reduce swelling and pain. You should also avoid strenuous activities that can bruise or injure your cheeks for two days after the procedure. You’ll definitely need to refrain from touching your cheeks or picking at them. No rubbing, no massaging. The pressure on your cheeks from pushing down on them could disrupt the filler’s movement and cause the hyaluronic acid to move into an area of the face you didn’t intend it to be, also referred to as “migration.“

How long do dermal fillers for cheeks last?

One of many benefits of dermal fillers for cheekbones is that they last for up to six months, so you can get cheekbone-boosting results without having to get more treatments soon after. That said, there’s a chance your cheeks will continue to look lifted long after your filler has worn off—depending on how frequently you use fillers and your facial anatomy.
